Misri, also known as rock sugar or crystallized sugar, holds a special place in Hindu rituals and spiritual practices. It is considered a symbol of purity, sweetness, and auspiciousness. In pujas, Misri is offered to deities as naivedyam (sacred food offering), especially to Lord Krishna, Goddess Lakshmi, and Lord Hanuman.

Its sweet taste is believed to invoke divine blessings and bring happiness, prosperity, and positive energy into the home. Misri is also mixed with other ingredients like tulsi leaves, butter, or dry fruits during offerings and is later distributed as prasadam to devotees.

Because of its pure form and natural sweetness, Misri is an ideal offering in daily worship, festivals, vrat (fasting) poojas, and during temple visits.
